MINFOF bereidt SIGIF 3 voor terwijl SIGIF 2 in 2026 nog het verplichte operationele systeem is
Een officiële aanbestedingsoproep van MINFOF van 26 december 2025 voor herziening van Standard Operating Procedures en voorbereiding van SIGIF 3 verklaart dat SIGIF 2 sinds 1 januari 2022 verplicht is en noemt de huidige functies: traceability, documentbeveiliging, controle van bosoperaties, fiscale titels, codes-barres en supply-chain conformity. Hetzelfde document laat zien dat MINFOF de procedures wil herzien en een derde generatie voorbereidt; SIGIF 2 is dus actueel maar niet de eindtoestand.

An official MINFOF procurement notice of 26 December 2025 for revising Standard Operating Procedures and preparing SIGIF 3 states that SIGIF 2 has been mandatory since 1 January 2022 and identifies current functions including traceability, document security, forest-operation control, tax assessments, barcodes and supply-chain conformity. It also shows that MINFOF intends to revise procedures and prepare a third generation; SIGIF 2 is therefore current but not the end state.
