Ensure that timber is not sourced from natural forests converted to non-agricultural land uses since 31 December 2020: a) verify that the harvesting site holds a valid, legally issued harvesting permit that confirms the land designation remains strictly classified as forest land; b) verify the forest GPS coordinates and boundaries on official maps and past satellite photos (from Dec 2020 to today) to make sure the land remained forest land and was not permanently converted to another land use.
